Hidden Folder concept in Business Objects Enterprise

With introduction on OpenDocument method developers are now able to design reports and call other reports hosted on BOE environment. This is very powerful feature and almost nullifies the use of Sub-Reports in Crystal reports. We can now drill down or Drill up from report based on the value of the field on which you click using Open Document.
Along with these benefits, it might also open can of worms if not implemented properly. For example, you are now exposing a “detailed” report and soon the end users will come back to have ability to run this “Detail” report independently outside of the Summary report. The best way to implement this is to “Hide” the destination detail report from users to View and users can only come to this report using Source (Summary) report using Open Document method.
