The Mask I Almost Wore: My Second Moth Story

New Venue, New Theme
This time, the location was different: The Den Theatre in Chicago—intimate, exposed, no place to hide. And the theme? “Masks.”

Perfect. Because isn’t that what we all wear? The professional mask. The confident mask. The “I-have-it-all-figured-out” mask that looks great from the outside while hiding a thousand cracks underneath.

The story I chose to tell was deeply personal—one I’d never shared publicly before. It was about the masks I’ve worn across my life: the immigrant mask, the tech expert mask, the “I belong here” mask that sometimes feels one wrong word away from slipping.
