ARMC – 2013 Cricket Tournament India Houston Vs Pakistan Houston

Aziz Rehmatulla Memorial Cup has been played for years between best of Indian and best of Pakistani originated Houstonians. This is the best cricket tournament featuring not only the best players to play this game in Houston but also an event which attracts people from all corners of Houston to enjoy picnic, free food, games for kids and Cricket at its best.
Harris County judge Ed Emmet was invited as honoree and was given “Impact player” award for his efforts he has done in getting the Katy grounds for HCL league. He was very instrumental in getting cricket started here in Houston and has promised to support until he is in office.

The day started early around 9 AM with Pakistan Seniors playing against Indian Seniors (Seniors eligibility is based on age so the players participating in this game were all above 50). Pakistan seniors batted first and scored 141/9 in allotted 20 overs. Indian seniors were restricted to 141/8 in 20 overs and match was tied.
The India Vs Pakistan Houston started around 2 PM and India Houston elected to bat first. India scored 206 runs for loss of 7 wickets and in reply Pakistan were able to make only about 160+ and lost by considerable amount of runs. The man of the match was none other than Sushil who scored fluently in both boundaries and taking doubles.
